Greg Appleyard, VP Commercial Development

Greg was born and raised in the Strathmore area on his family’s cattle operation.  After graduating from High School he went to the University of Calgary where he studied political science.

The lure of land ownership cut his studies short as he bought his first half section of land at the age of nineteen.

After working at Cattleland for a few years, he was offered the opportunity to purchase the business.  With a partner, he was able to buy the 25,000 head feed lot as well as secure ownership and lease options on a fifteen thousand acre farm.

A large ranch was later purchased with other investors to further enhance the cattle operations.

Greg was able to accomplish all of this before the age of thirty.

Mr. Appleyard is presently expanding his research facilities at the feed lot and is continuously striving to add value to all aspects of agricultural activities including liaisons with some of the largest feeders in the U. S.
